Job Description
The group is responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining the Network Inventory Operational Support Systems for L1, L2 &L3 networks. You are required to:
- Write clean code and build unit tests
- Participate in the system requirements specification for the implementation of a given network technology or function within the network inventory OSS
- Actively participate in the design and the implementation phases (including design reviews and code reviews)
- Define the test plan and oversee the execution of the test cases
In the short term, the job will focus on the modernization of the network inventory OSS ecosystem. This will include:
- The consolidation and federation of various inventory systems.
- The exposure of the consolidated/federated inventory to other functional domains via restful web services, streaming and extracts
- Build automation solutions aimed at reducing system touch time
Critical Skills and Qualification:
Experience:
- Experience building or customizing multi-tiered applications
- Experience modernizing applications and application ecosystems
- Experience with both the development of custom, purpose built applications and the implementation and customization of off the shelf products
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills (ability to quickly determine the problem space and organize it into simple components)
- Strong technical writing skills (ability to write clearly and concisely)
- Strong modelling skills (ability to convert abstract concepts into concrete models)
