Job Description
Accountabilities
- Has basic knowledge of applicable financial and accounting statutes and regulations, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP), Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Monitors day to day financial operations for project(s) within the EIDHS division to include budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Develops, maintains, and improves on financial tools and templates
- Creates, reviews, and processes project budgets
- Assists the Business and Operations Manager in creating and managing division forecasts and budgets
- Supports the establishment of financial internal controls and project governance
- Performs project finance analysis, ensuring work plans are adequately budgeted
- Supports the management of division financial monitoring and reporting systems
- Provides support for field programs by conducting live meeting training on financial systems and processes
- Manages sub recipient financial report for assigned country offices by reconciling US based sub recipients with general ledger accounts
- Reviews and analyzes sub award tracking system, managing US partner payments
- Serves as subject matter expert for project finance and may lead teams on complex issues
- Has in depth technical and administrative knowledge and is able to defend analyses to management
- Helps to ensure compliance with FHI 360, donor and accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Develops and reports out on monthly financial analysis of project(s) and other presentations, as needed.

- Applies expert knowledge of USG and non-traditional funding
- Documents complex or outstanding issues and effectively articulates written conclusions
- Interacts with management to plan, negotiate, and coordinate complex written findings.
Required profile for job ad : Project Finance Manager
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of eight years of dynamically responsible financial analysis and pricing experience in an international nonprofit and/or government contracting environment
- Demonstrated team leader experience in finance department preferred
- Fluent in written and spoken English; French proficiency will be an advantage.
- Prior work experience working for a USG award.
