Job Duties / Accountabilities:
There truly is no typical day in the life of a product manager at Bell Media. There are core responsibilities that you will manage including strategy, research, road mapping, analysis, communication, and product performance. You have a strategic role in growing and engaging audience on digital as well as deliver the best user experience while working with marketing for acquisition strategy. You are responsible for defining your optimal day, thinking holistically about your role, and how you can bring the most value to the organization and your customers. To collaborate with one another, our teams use tools like Jira, Confluence, Slack, Webex. While it is a fast-paced environment that is also what makes the job so dynamic!
- Contribute to and clearly communicate the vision and objectives of Bell Media’s Account Management program, and the role this plays in executing the overall digital strategy
- Work with the Senior Product Manager to deliver on the product vision and with product owners to translate into the product roadmap
- Maintain a deep understanding of the industry-wide user account management landscape along with a keen view of current trends and opportunities as they relate to Bell Media
- Support innovation to deliver enhanced authentication features such as single sign-on and 2FA, user profile and preference management capabilities, and advanced payment and billing functionalities with great user experiences
- Enforce compliance with industry regulations (SOX, CASL), payment data security standards and other business policies that protect data privacy and integrity. This includes processes required to track user activity to gain the data we need in case of a security incident
- Work closely with stakeholder partners and translate business needs into functional requirements for product delivery and development teams
- Focus on customers, markets, trends, revenue and business value
- Be the subject matter expert for the scrum team and engage the team to own the product by knowing the customers they’re delighting, understanding the problem they’re solving and maximizing the value of the product they are building
Critical Qualifications / Competencies:
- 3+ years of experience with agile product management
- Experience with delivering digital enterprise-wide user account management and billing products and strategies
- Ability to translate organizational vision into a product vision
- Proven problem solving ability with complex, technical and abstract concepts
- Effective planning, prioritizing and organizational skills
- Leadership and communication skills
- Experience in digital media and telecommunications is a plus
