Responsible for timely procurement of indirect goods, services, and packaging materials in order to obtain the best total cost of ownership and best supply situation for Eastman
Conduct spot buys and bids for strategic and non-strategic categories
Work together with Category managers to develop strategies, management of categories, contracts, and supplier relationships; participate and contribute to Supplier Relationship Meetings
Connect with stakeholders proactively to understand business needs
Adherence and understanding of supplier agreements and contracts
Assist accounts payable and operations in resolving goods receipt and invoice discrepancies
Working virtually with internal customers to develop clear requirement understanding and ensure accurate data entry
Implement procurement processes to ensure efficiency, cost savings, and best practices
Tracking orders and ensuring on-time deliveries
Working with quality assurance for supply quality and non-conformances
Complete all procurement activities from start to finish through execution of Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, economic or commercial area preferred
Procurement or Finance experience preferred
3+ years of experience preferred
Capable of understanding purchasing and supply chain management
Using technology to manage procurement in order to stay in front of upcoming changes
Ability to manage procure-to-pay process
Ability to gain mastery of SAP procurement tools
Ability to gain mastery of Microsoft Office Tools
Ability to comply with existing/quickly adapt to new processes within the organization
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and nurture good working relationships with vendors and colleagues in other departments by collaborating and working toward the common goals
An understanding of different markets and how they operate, constantly looking out for risks, key trends, competition, and other factors
Improvement oriented with strong cross-functional communication skills
Ability to learn and follow ISO 9001(QMS) guidelines
