Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Manage a growing team of Reliability Engineers working on Engineering and Customer supporting programs
- Lead by example, and ensure all team members have the support they need to be successful in what they do
- Ability to triage, prioritize, escalate, to ensure optimum outcomes
- Participate in on call coverage rotation (approx. 10% of time)
- Provide leadership to all customer-facing teams during incidents
- Identify and drive implementation of customer centric mitigation methodologies
- Bring strong Reliability Engineering rigour and discipline to help drive and enhance the experience of customers on the Azure platform
- Drive workstreams on behalf of critical customers including:
- Architecture reviews / resilience recommendations
- Issue diagnosis & recommendations
- Advanced troubleshooting & escalation management

Required Skills:
- Management or Team-Lead experience in a technology company environment
- Reliability Engineering or Support Engineering experience in an enterprise environment
- Familiarity with Azure services and capabilities and/or cloud platforms
- Communication skills that allow you to take lead and control the communication with customers, internal Microsoft stakeholders and third-party vendors
- Strategic thinking, quantitative and analytical skills, team leadership, and collaboration
- Excellent problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate to a variety of audiences; including high-profile customers, executive management, and engineering teams.
- Desired: BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent experience
