The Microsoft Intelligent Communications Collaboration Cloud powering Microsoft Teams and Azure Communication Services is one of the fastest-growing products in Microsoft history. Our org is looking for a Product Manager to define, develop, and execute on telco collaboration strategies that will help energize our real-time communication and collaboration services with Teams Phone Mobile. This position will work with internal stakeholders and mobile network operators.  We expect a Product Manager in this position to be an expert in dealing with complex collaboration that involves factoring in regulatory and policy constraints, ecosystem business value, and cloud/backend integration. Your main accountability is onboarding telco partners to provide communication services such as mobile voice and SMS with Teams Phone System, as well as Azure Communication Services. Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented and ambitious Product Manager who can do the following: 

• Relationship management with strategic Microsoft telco (mobile and data) partners 
• Conduct regular technical and business reviews with telco   partners and internal stakeholders  
• Be integral part of the product team, receive and provide input to product/services adoption, hard issues, telco input, service management (Ops management in general), perform certain TPM functions, and provide input to backlogs 
• Engage with telcos and customers and execute on action items as related to Teams voice services and SMS 
• Revise technical and operational specs, provide input to SLA 
• Business savvy 
• Work with regulators 
• Simplify complex requirements and identify constraints to help realize your vision 
• Build internal consensus through influence and networking 
• Deliver onboarding roadmap through excellent program management and leadership skills 
• Drive Microsoft’s interests with our current and future telecommunication partners  
• Have analytic skills with good insight into PSTN and mobile data 
• Very detail oriented in collaboration agreements 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will also have the following experience: 

• Thorough understanding of telecom industry 
• Understanding of regulations and policies is a big plus 
• Domain knowledge in some of the following areas: Unified Communication, PSTN, SMS, mobile networking, VoIP, and/or CPaaS 
• Experience leading highly visible workstreams at global scale 
• Connections within telecommunications, unified communication, or mobile industry 

Position Requirements: 

• Excellent communication & cross group collaboration skills.  Excellent writing and presentation skills 
• Extensive experience in partner engineering, product management and/or program management  
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.  MBA or MS in engineering preferred 
• Strong partnership skills 
• Experience developing and executing on complex legal agreements  
• Ability to network and gain consensus with internal and external partners
