The role;
Located in the ANZ Head Office, Horsley Park, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to support our Operations function. Implement your talent and leadership skills as an operations Manager to develop, coach, and guide your team meeting strategic plans, while improving processes and performance. As a member of the ANZ leadership team, you will lead the operations team to deliver their best work. Responsibilities include:
- Leading 5 cross-functional teams including warehouse, logistics, pre-delivery, supply chain, customer service and IT
- Lead effective and successful management of labour, productivity, safety, quality control, delivery, safety measures through the application of Lean principles
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including product handling and storage requirements, inventory management and shipping to meet customer demands
- Oversee production floor operations to identify training opportunities, improving production output and efficiency.
- Develop and facilitate a strategy for ANZ Operations while supporting the leadership team in making strategic Operations decisions around the value chain
- Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout and implement changes
- Maintain a safe working environment eliminating and/or reducing risk and assist the development of Tennant’s WHS Program
- Focus on ANZ culture and employee engagement. Lead and develop a high performing team through leadership coaching and development
- Manage the recruitment, induction and training of staff, including regular staff & training meetings that support the needs of the business and sustain staff turnover
- Design and implement necessary KPI’s to measure DIFOT efficiency and best practice to elevate productivity
- Liaise with global production facilities to ensure accurate and timely flow of machines and P&C to meet customer demands
- Lead and execute monthly S&OP meetings to establish and determine correct inventory levels
- Assume full responsibility of ANZ inventory ensuring a balance of demand & meeting company guidelines and annual targets
- Management of financial budget and financial performance of the Operational Function. Prepare annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, initiate corrective actions
- Site management with excellent house-keeping awareness to include regional locations
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure standards are being met
Required Skills:
- Exceptional leadership skills with proven history in developing a high performing team using KPI metrics
- Experience navigating highly matrixed organizations to drive a high level of collaboration
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization from floor shop to executive leaders.
- Ability to maintain a high level of presence and connectivity with workforce and leadership team
- Demonstrated long range strategic thinking capability
- Ability to set clear direction and align resources to ensure a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction
- Strong business acumen
- Strong English communication skills
- Strong knowledge of WHS practices
