Depositor Protection

The role holder will be responsible for supporting the CEP Legal Entity Officer as required to enhance and embed the Depositor Protection governance framework across ten CEP business lines and assist with delivering process and system logic improvements identified following a review of Depositor Protection arrangements. The role holder will be required to oversee regulatory reporting requirements, including the Quarterly Coverage report and Single Customer View reporting. The role holder will also be required to support on the extension of depositor protection coverage across the ROE.

Responsibilities:

The role holder as part of a team will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Legal Entity Officer to embed and enhance the Client Asset and Depositor Protection governance framework across multiple business lines
• Presenting at and preparing materials for governance meetings and providing challenge where appropriate to ensure regulatory requirements are adhered to
• Engaging with the Client Asset Risk Evaluation (CARE) framework across multiple business lines, driving consistency, complete delivery and ensuring that business line controls are reflected
• Overseeing and reviewing Client Asset and Depositor Protection regulatory reporting to ensure accurate and timely execution
• Assessing regulatory change and advising on business implementation to ensure effective integration and regulatory compliance
• Governance and oversight of Legal vehicle outsourcing relationships
• Supporting with breach handling process involving engagement with product lines
• Supporting as required on CA&DPO function projects and initiatives and contributing to strategic objectives

Knowledge/Experience:

• Experience and/or knowledge of one of Client Asset and Depositor Protection regulations as a minimum
• Experience in the field of financial services and/or banking
• Demonstrable experience with structuring and delivering elements of regulatory change

Skills:

• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to produce well drafted documents appropriate for Senior Management
• Strong stakeholder management skills; ability to understand drivers and overcome barriers
• Ability to review detailed documents and identify and summarise key information
• Highly organised and task-orientated; ability to manage and balance competing priorities
• Ability to effectively collaborate with local contemporaries and peers across multiple business lines
