Yum Connect is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our rapidly growing and dynamic eCommerce platform team in SRE DevSecOps domain as we build multi-brand innovations that generate competitive advantages for our restaurants around the globe.

Job Duties

As a DevSecOps SRE Intern, you will:

• Collaborate with Yum Connect’s team and project stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Participate in sprint preparation, planning, and sprint delivery activities.
• Develop technical deliverables with appropriate code coverage.
• Collaborate with Yum Connect team members to create tests, manage, and support test automation.
• Develop software according to approved requirements from the product backlog for the Commerce Platform using Yum Connect’s approved development tools and technologies.
• Collaborate with Yum Connect’s development team to develop the necessary processes to support the application codebase throughout the application development lifecycle.
• Perform basic access control tasks and audits
• Learn how public clouds work and how to perform basic management of them

Skills and Qualifications

• 0-2 years of software engineering experience.
• 0-2 years of experience working in technical project teams and delivering outcomes.
• Working knowledge of agile development.
• Proficiency in modern development language(s) (e.g., Node, React, ES6/7).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Thorough understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with code versioning.
• Prefer proficiency in SQL.
• Understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and least privilege paradigms
• Preferred degree – B.S. in Computer Science or related field (e.g., Information Systems) or B.S. in Engineering.
