Purpose of the Role

The career opportunity arises within Corporate Banking Ireland's Origination & Market Developments team based in Dublin. Our origination activities focus on cash flow lending, leveraged acquisition finance and other opportunities sourced from a wide network of domestic and international intermediaries in addition to a coordinated calling programme targeting non-BOI customers in the Republic of Ireland.

Key Accountabilities

• Supporting the Origination & Intermediaries team in its activities including lead generation, transaction modelling/structuring, supporting & maintain digital profile of the team, internal/external engagement to ensure successful execution of cash flow lending transactions.
• Involvement in credit assessment and related credit processes
• Recognition of potential business growth opportunities
• Completion of administrative tasks and adherence to relevant compliance and regulatory controls
• Involvement in various projects and initiatives as the need arises.
• Working with other teams and business areas.

What is the opportunity?

You will be involved in new business generation, sector profiling, financial modelling, credit analysis, preparation of credit proposals and team MI. You will be experienced in developing new business opportunities, networking, transaction structuring, credit writing and transaction execution. The role will also involve monitoring and reporting on the Bank's portfolio of development and growth fund investments.

The successful candidate will have a balance of commercial experience, energy, initiative and excellent communication skills.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Relevant business or corporate banking experience;
• Knowledge and experience operating in the Irish mid corporate / SME market including products and debt structures
• Business development experience from previous roles
• Knowledge of the Intermediary network and firms operating within it
• Possession of relevant academic qualification
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good report writing and sales skills
• Ability to work to tight and objectives with a specific timeline.
• Good analytical skills with financial modelling and problem solving proficiency.
• Strong business insight with a dedication and passion for the growth of the business
• Experience of working both on own initiative and as part of a high-performance team
• Proficient in Word/Excel/PowerPoint/CRM or equivalent.
