Purpose of the Role
TheClearing Specialist SMEis required to provide domain expertise to support the delivery of important Paper Clearing projects. This a fundamental role within the Payments which requires deep knowledge and experience of all aspects of Paper Clearing. The successful candidate will also support critical service activities, from monitoring, to leading key Customer impacting services and processes.
In addition, you will support the analysis of impact and recovery of incidents while handling key exceptions and errors processing activities. Contribution to effective operating relationships and service interactions across internal partners and 3rd party providers to optimise Cheque Customer Service is a crucial part of this role.
The role holder will work in an exciting service environment, operating to high standards and SLAs, and will be accountable for leading the delivery of quality support and responses while adhering to timely service management processes
Key Accountabilities
Project Delivery
- Lead out and support on key implementations identified for projects across all service lines
- Engage with Project managers and business analysts
- Meet strict project deadlines
- Report on action status and progression to senior management
Service Management
- Maintain and implement effective management for support processes, procedures and controls that meet the required standards and levels to Customers and partners
- Analyse and support the assessment and resolution of the customer and financial impacts
- Support the effective transition of change and transformation initiatives into business as usual processes and controls, including new operating processes and activities for paper clearing Service management.
- Provide timely and accurate internal partner management, supporting communications and reporting processes to agreed service levels and quality standards.
- Support day to day Service relationships and partnerships with suppliers for successful outcomes in the delivery of efficient service critical metrics and enhanced value to BOI Group
Risk & Compliance Management
- Assess and enhance risk mitigants across the functions.
- Provide sound contributions and contribute value to the wider Payments and Customer Service agendas across the full PCS team

- Good communicator with vast experience dealing with external partners at supplier and industry, and internal senior management level
- 10 years + paper clearing service experience
- 7 years + management experience
