Job Description
Being a Transformation Business Analyst at National Bank means you will:
- Take stock of, analyze and document business requirements with several partners, while ensuring an optimal client experience.
- Identify business solutions while ensuring they're consistent with business objectives and organizational issues
- Help develop functional and technical rules and design standards, and contribute to developing architecture
- Produce proofs of concept and system prototypes in accordance with client needs
- Plan, prepare, and carry out functionality tests
- Draft functional analyses for the development teams, including expected system behaviours, use cases, and user interactions with the system
Specifically, you will:
- Support and influence the business line on decisions that prioritize functionalities that lead to value
- Ensure that solutions and elements of IT architecture and functional analysis are consistent with business needs and ensure all levels of requirements traceability are defined.
- Work with Product Owners and other analysts on NB conversational ecosystem projects to collect, document, and analyze information in order to validate and prioritize the business and technical needs of all stakeholders
- Work with architects and the development team to identify consistent and relevant business and technological solutions related to business objectives and organizational issues
- Develop backlog/user stories/functional and non-functional needs
- Identify business solutions while ensuring they're consistent with business objectives and organizational issues
- Carry out various analyses (context, scope, issues, impacts, stakeholders, processes, use cases, user stories, data modeling, etc.) required to develop and implement defined solutions
- Support stakeholders (Marketing, Operations, IT, etc.) throughout the implementation and operational transfer, including training and change management activities, when needed
- Validate development deliverables by participating in functional and/or integrated tests while supporting the certification teams
- Help product owners/users prepare and carry out strategies and final acceptance test plans
- Serve as a “coach for your less experienced colleagues.

Your profile
- A completed bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience OR a completed master’s degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience OR a university certificate and 8 years of relevant experience
- You’re a functional analyst who enjoys the challenges of technology transformations
- You like sharing new ideas and learning from others
- You understand complex systems integration and data ecosystems
- You’ve carried out and understand all aspects of functionality testing
- You're innately curious about technology and you believe in innovation
- You have experience in:
- Managing business processes and requirements
- Leading/facilitating workshops
- Agile methodology
- Strong interpersonal skills, disciplined, and dynamic
- You have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong sense of autonomy and organizational skills
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with partners across Canada
