Come join National Bank's Credit Risk Delivery team! This dynamic and innovative team works on projects related to applications used in financing origination and credit risk management.
Being an Application Analyst on our team means working with other team members, developers, analysts, IT solution architects, and the business lines to put in place solutions that ensure application continuity and quality for our partners.
Our activities are split equally between implementing new technology solutions, setting the application parameters, and automating and monitoring production processes. You will need to work closely with various risk management players and play a key role in achieving our goals.
Your role:
- Conduct various complex analyses, identify discrepancies and make recommendations to address business issues in an efficient and sustainable way, and implement them according to the highest quality standards
- Provide leadership to help users understand and make the best choices
- Modify the parameters of existing applications based on user needs, business imperatives and technological requirements
- Participate in test phases to ensure the systems developed or modified are adequate
- Analyze requests for changes to systems, assess their impact on existing applications, and suggest and carry out the appropriate changes
- Ensure the integrity of computerized data and system stability.
More specifically, you’ll be required to:
- Determine the scope and objectives of the system, ensure the technical feasibility of the changes requested and understand the business field and industry requirements
- Analyze, set the parameters of applications under your responsibility
- Participate and perform tests in testing phases involving ETL and microservices
- Analyze and review the logic and documentation of existing systems under your responsibility, as needed
- Investigate and solve problems with different levels of system complexity
- Monitor production processes.

Your profile:
We need dynamic and creative candidates able to work with multidisciplinary teams to efficiently design and deliver quality solutions while meeting delivery deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree or other degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of SQL, skilled with databases
- Knowledge of applications for testing microservices such as Postman
- Be familiar with JSON, XML exchange formats
- Knowledge of version managers such as Git, Bitbucket
- Knowledge of the banking industry, an asset
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies, an asset
- Ability to learn quickly, curiosity
- Strong work ethic and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of French (spoken/written); knowledge of English, a definite asset, as you will regularly do business with partners and service providers across Canada.
