Job Description
Your role:
- Handle transactions related to letters of credit, documentary collections, and possibly any other trade products
- Suggest and structure innovative solutions by leveraging your product expertise and knowledge of international trade
- Act as an advisor to clients and stakeholders by offering your expertise on a daily basis and in the context of committees and special projects
- Evaluate and identify the needs of stakeholders and propose appropriate solutions to support the realization of activities
- Conduct analysis and research to provide the necessary information for the smooth running of transactions
- Maximize business opportunities by making referrals to the sales force
- Contribute to the optimization of processes to ensure a red carpet customer experience and rigorous risk management
You will be part of the Letter of Credit team composed of approximately 10 specialists. The position reports to the Director, Letter of Credit and is based in Montreal.
The Centre of Expertise team will allow you to pursue a stimulating career in International Trade within the Bank.
Competencies required:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field plus five years' relevant experience OR a master's degree in a related field plus three years' relevant experience
- Experience in an advisory role in international trade
- Experience in verification of documents, essential
- Customer service experience and good interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to work in a team and collaborate
- Strong ability to meeting deadlines
- Strong Knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP, URC 522, URR725
- Have either the CDCS or CSDG designation
- Bilingualism, spoken and written (English/French), essential
