We are seeking a capable and motivated Accounts payable officer to support the team at Parklea Correctional Centre.

Key Responsibilities
• Reconciliation, accurate entry and verification of vendor entries daily
• Maintaining all records in accordance with Australian Account Standards
• Processing Vendor Payments with correct approvals in a timely manner
• Liase with Vendors regarding finance enquiries
• Analysis of Accounts, Problem solving and producing monthly reports for Finance Director

Key experience & skills
• Ability to communicate with different levels of management
• Accurate Reconciliation of vendor account queries and following up with vendors as needed
• Attention to detail data entry skills
• Time Management skills for processing of payments to deadlines
• Microsoft Suite of applications intermediate skills; Outlook, Excel, Word and Publisher
• Some level of negotiation skills may be required from time to time.
• Ad-hoc administrative support to the finance team as required

Mandatory requirements:
• ability to gain and retain all the police/security clearances required within our industry
• ability to pass any required health assessments
• ability to visit and work within a correctional
• proven right to work in Australia
• be prepared to undergo alcohol and other drug testing as required.
