Introduction:

  • Contribute to the various strategic transformation initiatives as a Senior Business Analyst
  • Will need to take lead on the migration/decommissioning projects and interact with all the senior stake holders
  • Interact with the various downstream/downstream systems to understand their requirements, document and coordinate with IT
  • Work as a part of a local team, liaise regularly with colleagues in other regions and mentor junior colleagues
  • Coordinate with various senior Business Stake holders and to get their sign offs
  • Implement Functional solutions, unit test & coordinate releases and where applicable contribute to design sessions.

What will you be doing?

  • Work with Team/Project Leads to understand the functional scope of project work, possess required skills to deliver each/all elements of the scoped activities, questioning decisions and collaborating with end-users to ensure that business needs are met on a timely basis.
  • Perform business analysis to understand full scope of the project
  • Create and maintain detailed low level documents, where applicable; Eg Word, Excel, MPP, SharePoint, Presentation
  • Provide functional & business leadership to a team of developers. Lead as a connect for all the stakeholders of the project.
  • Provide clear and comprehensive business requirements which can be passed to the IT team for build
  • Diagnosis and resolution of defects found during SIT, QA and UAT test phases
  • Work closely with global development team members in other regions, leading technical discussions and conduct UAT wherever appropriate.
  • Proficiency in communication, efficiently utilize escalation for the highlight to management and come up with resolutions; quantify any financial accountability /budgetary requirements; likely timeframe of role activities; the impact of the role on the team/organization.

What we're looking for:

Business

  • Product knowledge - Exchange traded and/or Over-the-counter Derivatives.
  • Strong understanding of the financial markets
  • Good understanding on Risk management and Finance functions under IB
  • Well versed with the various stages and the associated workflows within the Trade LifeCycle. Strong with at least one stage within the Trade Lifecycle
  • Experience in leading projects and interacting with senior stake holders
  • Strong BA skills. Should have done Requirements Gathering and documentation.
  • Analytical skills; ability to investigate and resolve issues in a high-pressured environment

Technical

  • Expertise on Excel/Access required; should know formulas and functions required for Data Analysis.
  • Intermediate knowledge of at least one DB technology (Oracle, SQL Server). Should be able to write queries with conditions and joins
  • Familiar with Data Analysis and its concepts.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies.

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with other IT groups, business users and support teams.
  • Strong ability to analyze data; attention to detail and good quantitative ability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a good command over English and ability to explain complex technical and functional topics in simple terms over the phone.
  • Ability to work closely as part of a team with users, developers and business analysts outside home locations
