Job Summary

Cognizant is looking for a Front-End Developer with six to ten years of experience in developing customized product for our clients. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

Front-End Developer will be responsible for development of applications across Cognizant’s Digital Business and Technology domain.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

1. Develop self-contained, reusable Angular libraries, modules and components
2. Write unit and e2e test cases to cover every line of code
3. Develop HTML5 screens and ensure they are compatible with client’s UI standards and Accessibility requirements
4. Understand client requirements, handle communication and manage tasks through JIRA
5. Conduct peer code review and ensure all tasks are completed on time
6. Maintain documentation for any new features or Proof of Concepts developed
7. Work on any production hot fixes that may come up

Required Qualifications:

1. Proficiency with Angular 8+, TypeScript, JavaScript, SCSS and HTML5
2. Deep knowledge of Angular, Angular JS and RxJS concepts, best practices and extensive hands on experience
3. Experience with writing unit test cases using Jasmine, Jest
4. Experience with writing end to end test cases using Cucumber and Protractor
5. Experience with writing NodeJS scripts
6. Hands on experience with Docker, NGINX and GitHub
7. Professional, precise communication skills
