The Intensive Community Team based at Lambie Drive, has a great opportunity for you to join a dedicated, innovative and assertive community team that provides ongoing treatment and support to people with severe mental health problems. You will take a lead role in triaging new clients referred to our service as well as managing a small caseload.

 

As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for continuing to develop the interface between regional forensic psychiatric services and the intensive team. You will be working closely with our two Intensive Community Teams to deliver an integrated model of mental health care to people who have had involvement with the forensic services and justice systems.

 

The position is to help maintain and further strengthen the links and communication pathways from the Regional Forensic Psychiatric services to the general mental health services of CMDHB and to ensure that high and complex needs clients get the most appropriate treatment and care.

Essential:

  • New Zealand Registered Mental Health Nurse
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate to work in Mental Health
  • Minimum 3 years Community Mental Health experience
  • Relevant post graduate training in the field of mental health
  • A recovery focus and evidence from previous work history.
  • Extensive knowledge of mental illness and treatment interventions
  • Full & Clean NZ Driver's Licence
