Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to come on board to fulfil weekly administration and accounts management duties while our bookkeeper is on maternity leave. You will be provided with training for the role and communicate predominantly with the directors and at times, the accountant. You will be a valued team member and a vital part of our week-to-week operation of the business, ensuring that the office administration duties are kept up-to-date and matters are attended to or followed up efficiently and effectively, keeping a (virtual) paper trail of correspondence as needed.

  • Office All-Rounder
  • 4 month fixed term contract with potential for future work
  • Commencement from 23 or 30 March 2022
  • 1-2 days per week
  • Flexible working arrangement
  • Casual position

 

Position Description

  • Sort and attend to/action emails from general administration inbox
  • Confidently liaise with customers and suppliers
  • Attend to data entry in accounting software and maintaining accurate records
  • Keeping accounts reconciled and uploading documentation to transactions where possible
  • Manage accounts payable, entering purchase receipts, invoices and other documentation as necessary
  • Debtor follow up
  • Maintain electronic filing system from electronic and physical records
  • Other administrative tasks as needed

 

Experience, Attributes and Qualifications

  • An independent and reliable worker who is driven by their own initiative
  • Clear, professional and friendly communication (written and verbal)
  • Experience in similar roles and working with confidential business/employee information
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and general computer trouble shooting
  • Confident using Xero for general account keeping
  • Certificate IV or higher in business/Accounting/Bookkeeping desirable
  • Must have a TFN and eligible to work in Australia

 

Remuneration

Casual rates variable depending on level of experience
