About the business and the role

D&T Hydraulics is a local family owned cylinder repair & manufacturing business.  The company employs over 100 highly skilled employees from Boilermakers, Welders, Fitters, Machinists and TA's.  This dedicated workforce is supported by technical, sales and support staff guaranteeing projects and the workforce is managed in a professional manner without compromising, quality, safety or the environment.  We require motivated & experienced First Class Metal Machinists to join the team in our expanding facility.  

We are highly reputable and boast a modern workshop with excellent working and pay conditions & regular overtime.

Job tasks and responsibilities

The successful applicant MUST:-

• Have experience with or on manual lathes;
• Experience on horizontal borers;
• Cylindrical grinding experience;
• Experience with general Mig welding a distinct advantage;
• Have an ability to read and interpret drawings;
• Able to use measuring equipment;
• Be highly motivated;
• Have a good work ethic:
• Be reliable, punctual and hardworking;
• Be able to work unsupervised and also follow directions provided by Supervisors;
• Have a strong attention to detail;
• Be able to work in a team environment;
• Have drivers licence and own transport;
• Be a team player; and
• Be committed to safety & quality policies and procedures.
