What is the opportunity?
You will be a credit specialist who supports a high performing commercial banking sales team. In this role, you complete the analysis and documentation required for annual renewals and new or increased credit transactions, you are the credit expert in the market, meant to aid the Commercial Account Managers with portfolio management and compliance support. You will contribute to an exceptional client experience by providing superior business, financial and credit advice. As a strategic partner to the Commercial Account Manager, you are responsible for effectively and proactively managing the credit process.
What will you do?
Leverage superior business analysis skills to meet client expectations for credit requests and completion of annual reviews
Provide quality business analysis and credit advice through the presentation options that clearly articulate advantages and benefits to the client
Demonstrate RBC’s capability to provide creative financial solutions in a timely manner and deliver credit solutions that meet or exceed needs
Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and collaboration by coaching, mentoring and assisting colleagues to meet the needs of all clients
Demonstrate sound risk management fundamentals in recommending credit applications, working in collaboration with Risk Management.
Take ownership of portfolio quality disciplines for portfolios supported.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Proven track record in financial and credit analysis in support of exceptional client relationship management
Experience in the assessment of risk and financial analysis, credit structuring/solutions and presenting a transaction.
Strong presentation and communication skills
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Minimum post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in Commerce, Business Administration or related experience
Nice-to-have
Accounting designation (CPA/CA/CGA/CMA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
