 The opportunity

 EY’s market leading Financial Services Group is looking to expand its transformation team – dedicated to positively enabling change for tax and finance professionals, this is a small team with a very high impact.

 

Reporting to the FSO Tax Transformation Lead, you will facilitate the successful realisation of the Oceania Transformation Program goals, ensuring transformation efforts are aligned with EY’s NextWave strategy and leveraging the depth and breadth of EY resources. This is an exciting and varied role focussed on driving change across people, process and technology.

 

 Your key responsibilities

 Business Transformation

 

Lead and drive the implementation of tax technology and business intelligence solutions (e.g., ONESOURCE, Alteryx and PowerBI) across the FSO Tax practice.   

Collaborate proactively with FSO Tax professionals to gain an understanding of their engagements, identify and qualify opportunities to improve end-to-end tax processes. This will include preparation of opportunity assessment and business cases, as well as annual and ad hoc budgeting / funding requests.

Work with EY technology teams to architect, refine and rollout automation solutions in accordance with business or engagement requirements. 

Configure direct tax engines, taking into account specific client and engagement needs, as well as best practice, into consideration.

Provide training to onshore and offshore delivery teams and prepare the necessary work products (e.g., documentation, digital learning or otherwise), to facilitate effective adoption and utilisation of tax technology solutions.

Support the management of external technology vendors to ensure roadmaps and product offerings are fully understood.

 

Program and Project Management

 

Program management including work prioritisation, management, tracking and reporting on costs and benefits, alignment with EY and Service Line strategy and resource planning and coordination.

Prepare communications as needed relating to updates to tax technology stack affecting the FSO Tax practice.

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

Thirtd party tax technology implementation experience.

Tax technical business analysis experience in capturing client and business challenges.

Professional services experience, particularly within the Real Estate and Wealth and Asset Management industries.

Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a global matrix organisation

Proven coaching and facilitation skills.

Flexible approach to work and changing business needs.

Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to direct and influence cross-functional teams to ensure dependencies for client deliverables are met.

The ability to lead and support as requested internal projects to uplift our capability

Excellent communication and ability to influence

Excellent critical thinking and attention to detail.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

Proven project, program and change management experience.

Financial services and / or accounting experience.

Experience with building on robotics process automation software (e.g., Alteryx, UIPath, BluePrism, etc.).
