The Finance Team manages the performance and risk profile of Bell, ensuring the needs of customers, investors and employees are balanced with long-term business success. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute plans that help the company achieve its strategic objectives and ensure financial sustainability.  
 

Within the Bell Business Markets Finance group, the financial analyst plays a critical role in financial management and reporting. We are looking for a dynamic and responsible self-starter, who is detail-oriented and can work collaboratively with others. The candidate will be responsible for financial support of Bell Business Market Ontario Large sales team and will perform financial analyses; planning and forecasting; prepare and review management reports on revenue results.

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for financial support of the Ontario Business Markets sales teams including month-end sales results.
  • Revenue Recognition – work with sales and controllers teams for maximum revenue recognition through margin analysis process.
  • Research billing documentation when required to ensure revenue is tracking properly enabling sales team to reach their goal of attaining fiscal revenue targets.
  • Planning & Forecasting guidance for expected revenues by month by Product Portfolio by GM, etc
  • Sales team support: Provide operations/administrative support, as well as ongoing clear and effective communication
  • Consolidation of inputs required for Sales Compensation & validation
  • Perform all functions relating to month end financial analysis, including billing accruals, anomaly investigation, account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Assist with adhoc analysis for senior management, ensure accuracy and integrity of financial results.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting of Revenues.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements.

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues
  • 2 years of financial/accounting experience
  • Strong problem solving skills and resourceful
  • Strong leadership and communication/presentation skills
  • Experience managing finance projects
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
  • Accurate and timely reporting essential

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Accounting designation or working towards (CPA)
  • Knowledge of SAP/BI
  • Bilingual (French/English)
  • Good understanding of revenue recognition principles
  • Highly motivated, proactive professional with ability to adapt to a complex and quickly changing environment.
  • Flexible schedule during quarter-ends.

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
