Your new role

We are seeking a skilled Accountant / Analyst to join this businesses'' Grower Entities team, providing forecasting, analysis and reporting for our stakeholders. The Grower Entities team administers grower funds for several categories and is tasked with ensuring highly accurate and timely payments are made in accordance with payment policies.

To excel within this Analyst role, you’ll be a conceptual thinker who can demonstrate excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Your key responsibilities will cover:

FORECASTING

• Prepare high-level OGR forecasting for kiwifruit

• Prepare Orchard Gate Return (OGR) forecasting for all fruit groups

• Complete actuals to forecast reconciliations

• Provide support to rest of team to aid understanding of forecasts and payments

ANALYSIS AND BUSINESS REPORTING

• Perform reject, time-related and other business reporting

• Peer review and support of grower payments across all fruit groups

• Complete analysis as required to aid forecast & payment understanding

COUNCIL REPORTING

• Prepare / review monthly finance report

• Present finance and forecast reports at council meetings

• Provide out of session reports to SGL audit committee per protocols

PAYMENTS

• Preparation of grower payments

• Review and reconcile payments

• Manage entity cash flow

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years in analyst or similar roles

• Minimum Bachelor level qualification in accounting or finance

• Experience in reporting and data analysis

• Prefer experience working with large data sets, SQL databases and queries
