JC Excavations is a Civil Construction and Plant Hire business with a range of long-term contracts in Major Civil and Infrastructure projects throughout Sydney and regional NSW. 

About the role

JC Excavations is currently looking for an experienced, trade qualified Diesel Mechanic with auto-electrical experience to carry out repair, services and fault finding/diagnosis on Heavy Diesel machinery.

You will be required to work on Plant and Equipment from 5T to 70T Excavators, 30T to 40T Ejectors as well as light utility vehicles both in our workshop and various sites across major infrastructure projects in Western Sydney and Sydney CBD

Our Fleet range is wide, and the job will be varied from day to day. 

What you can expect daily:

• You will conduct routine maintenance and servicing tasks including inspection, classification, diagnostics and repairs
• Works to be carried out on a wide range of Plant and machinery from 5-70 Tonne excavators, Articulated dump trucks, Utes and tipper trucks
• Replace or repair damaged and malfunctioning parts following inspection
• Effectively diagnose problems and perform work of a technical nature
• Adhere to all regulatory and contract specific requirements including site inductions
• Work as part of a team of 25+
• Random drug and alcohol tests are performed on all of our contracted sites

To be considered for the role you must have the below Skills and Experience:

• Relevant trade qualifications essential
• Have at least 5-6 years of relevant experience
• Experience working with CAT, Sumi, Yanmar, Volvo
• Be honest, reliable, hardworking and a good fit for the team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Civil and earthworks experience is a must
• Ability to work under pressure and handle deadlines
