We are looking for experienced fiber technician to work for a national telecom company. 

MANDATORY SKILLS:

MDU / Civil Work (OSB Work-Concrete Break / Dig & Fix, 
Trenching in Grass, Gravel, Gardens, &  Micro Trench/Slot cutting in Concrete and Asphalt.
Fiber Optic Blowing, splicing, jointing ,hauling
Experience in Aerial work related to Fiber.
Technicians are expected to have:

Ability to use tools and testing equipment including, Concrete Saw (hand saw & Walk behind cutters) , Fiber blowing gun, Splicer and OTDR etc.
Read / Implement fiber network design documents for a large fiber rollout i.e. Scope Documents, NetMap etc.
Submit completed jobs including documents in the system i.e. iAuduitor.
Ability to do  aerial fibre work for network connectivity when required.
Experience of Indoor and Outdoor Wireless Access point Installations 
Undertake installation, termination, and testing of fiber optics throughout the underground Networks into small and large commercial and domestic premises.

Training & Licenses:

Valid Full Class1 New Zealand motor vehicle driver's license 
Site Safe Building Construction Passport
First Aid Certificate (Mandatory) 
Relevant Plant and Equipment tickets
Cabling license or registration
Traffic management training
WTC1 & WTC3 (Mandatory) 
Confined Space training
Completed NGA Courses or willing to complete if selected.
A strong commitment to workplace safety
A good knowledge of MDU/ROW  infrastructure and UFB design rules and equipment
Experience in performing civil work tasks.
