About the role
The Examination Delivery Manager is a key leadership role in our Operations and Logistics team. The team is primarily responsible for the operational delivery of the external National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) and New Zealand Scholarship examinations as an end to end process. The team also provides operational support to all Assessment Division business units.
The role of the Examination Delivery Manager is responsible for leading, co-ordinating and managing the examination project cycles and operational plans that relate to the establishment and management of Examination Centres. The Manager will have responsibility for producing, implementing and reviewing the operational plan and activity as it relates to the delivery of external assessment at Examination Centres. The Manager will ensure that Examination Centre activities for external examinations are co-ordinated effectively and will manage changes to delivery and scope using appropriate methodologies and allocating resources where necessary.
The Manager will oversee the training and assessment delivery support requirements for schools/kura administering external assessment events outside of the end of year examination timetable.
The Manager will also ensure that the operating model for the management of Examination Centres is able to transition over time to fully online assessment.
The Manager will have responsibility for coordinating the production, implementation and review of the Operations and Logistics team's annual business continuity plan in relation to the remote management of Examination Centres.
You will possess the ability to measure and manage compliance, with a proven track record that shows you can identify, recommend and implement potential process and system improvements across a large externally managed workforce.
As the duties and responsibilities of this position require the holder to visit schools and have direct contact with students, successful applicants will need to meet the requirements of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021. Currently, this requires that the position holder has received at least two doses of a recognised COVID-19 vaccination.
