What will your work involve?

This role suits a smart and practically-minded IT and systems whiz who isn't scared of getting their hands dirty and doing the slog work. You'll need to be a good communicator, pragmatic and practical, have acute attention to detail, and also have some project management capability. Some knowledge of accounting will be very helpful. 

Your primary role will be ensuring the smooth running of our IT systems, which include first and foremost our ERP system, Seradex Orderstream. You'll receive on-the-job training on how to use the Seradex front end and configurator builder, however you'll definitely need to have a reasonable grasp of SQL databases and an exceptional grasp of Excel and macros as a starting point, along with some experience building reports. You will be the primary IT lead in the business (we're not huge) so will hold a fair amount of responsibility, and will need to be self directed and motivated. Your day-to-day work will look something like this:

SQL Database Management

• Troubleshooting existing report code and building new views for custom reporting
• Maintenance and optimisation of existing code

Crystal Reports and Telerik Reports coding and maintenance

• Designing and building new custom reports connected to our SQL database
• Fixing and improving existing reports
• Ensuring report consistency across the systems
• Building dashboards

ERP configurator creation and maintenance

• Building back-end configurators for new product ranges
• Fixing issues with existing configurators
• Ensuring consistency of formatting in back-end configurators
• Ensuring data output quality
• Updating pricing tables

ERP internal issues management

• Manage and resolve all internal system issue reports
• Undertake root cause analysis on common issues and internal inefficiencies to reduce overall issue count

ERP system capability development 

• Learning all capabilities of the ERP system and providing recommendations for new projects that could improve internal efficiency
• Building / deploying additional ERP system functionality
• Monitoring performance and internal satisfaction with existing system functions

• Understanding of accounting principles (preferred)
• Understanding of manufacturing principles (preferred)
