What is the opportunity?

As an Equipment Finance Specialist, you are a professional who works directly with Commercial Account Managers to create customized equipment finance solutions for both existing RBC clients, and new clients to the bank. You will build knowledge of the client industries you serve, client equipment acquisition and refresh strategies, as well as be part of key influential networks within the community in order to drive business growth. The role will grow, expand and acquire new commercial clients at RBC as you provide an exceptional client experience through superior business insights and financial advice.

 

What will you do?

  • Responsible for proactively building relationships and delivering financial advice to your clients through needs discovery, solution development, and coordinating with the Commercial Financial Services sales and service team, respecting and reinforcing role clarity to deliver on client needs
  • Demonstrate high standards of behaviours, activities and results which are measured through growth in annual sales volume and revenue, our clients’ “likelihood to recommend" scores, and cross enterprise partnering
  • Grow sales and revenue (new and existing clients) by prospecting/lead generation, organizing sales meetings/discovery sessions, sales planning/reviews, and conducting internal/external presentations
  • Create an exceptional client experience by taking accountability when any major client issues and/or escalations arise
  • Continuously learn through personal development training, formal and informal learning

 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Proven track record in sales and business development, and exceptional client relationship management
  • Ability to provide sales and financial advice, acquire new client, assess credit and risk, and build relationships by understanding the client’s business strategy/model
  • Strong computer skills that will be used with Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems, presentation requirements, transaction applications, networking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Self-confident in the ability to succeed with a positive attitude towards proactive sales and able to effectively manage rejection, while also being confident in public speaking and presenting to mid-large audiences

 

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in banking, equipment financing and/or lending
  • French language skills
