Job Description

Responsibilities

    • Oversee collection and management of data related to suppliers’ environmental impacts, including the deployment of the Higg FEM/vFEM
    • Analyze impact data to drive regional strategy
    • Assess industry partnerships and initiatives related to facility-level impact reduction, and provide recommendations on participation
    • Guide and oversee the creation and completion of facility improvement plans
    • Manage the execution of initiatives at key facilities
    • Identify gaps in facility improvement capability and areas of potential collaboration between Fanatics and suppliers
    • Support Environment lead in conducting regular risk assessments and establishing environmental compliance guidelines for suppliers
    • Oversee any process/verification requirements related to environmental certifications and claims
    • Collaborate with the Traceability team to deploy environmental programs to upstream facilities
    • Passion and commitment to sustainable business practices
    • 5+ years-experience in the sustainability field, ideally including experience within a brand and/or experience in facility-level sustainability operations, environmental engineering, or a related field
    • Strong understanding of and experience with industry best practices in developing and scaling environment programs for manufacturing facilities, and the key institutions and regional/global organizations that work in the environment space
    • Proven track record of upstream supply chain stakeholder engagement and collaboration
    • Working knowledge of apparel manufacturing impacts related to climate/energy, water/wastewater, waste, and biodiversity (among others)
    • Experience with Higg FEM and facility-level environment certifications preferred
    • Experience quality reviewing/refining data
    • Excellent organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience working within a global team
    • Ability and willingness to undertake diverse projects
    • Capacity to deal with ambiguity
    • Ability to travel when needed
