What is the opportunity?

The Global Equity Technology team is seeking a Client Support Analyst with a positive attitude and a passion to learn.  The candidate will be facing Capital Markets Equity traders, and supporting trading platforms and other related technology.  When in the office, the role is situated on the main RBC Capital Markets trading floor.  

What will you do?

-    Support of the US Electronic Trading desk with additional focus on Cash trading.
-    Trader support and liaison between Business unit/Traders and Technology for OMS related issues.
-    Monitoring, management, communication and training of the Global Equities applications and various business order flows.
-    Manage outages; proactive communication and problem management through to resolution.  Tracking of Post Mortems, bug fixes, enhancements etc.
-    Manage/Monitor/Interact with Orders from our Institutional Electronic Clients 
-    Test RBC’s Institutional Algorithmic Platform.  This includes (but is not limited to) both Client Customization testing, and investigation into Client reported issues. 
-    Troubleshoot reporting related breaks identified by operations and/or front-office control
-    Conduct war-games & document recovery procedures for faster turn-around & lesser business impact.
-    Support the integration of new releases, bug fixes, patches and configuration changes into production, including post release checks and trader training / notification.
-    Work with Trade Surveillance / Compliance to identify and resolve regulatory issues.

 What do you need to succeed?

 Must-have:

-    2-5 years’ experience working within fast- paced trading environment.
-    Basic understand of the following: Equities OMS, Algo functionality, Market Access rules, Data Queries and Reconciliation, Compliance Ramifications and Issue Escalation
-    KDB , SQL and Bloomberg experience
-    Series 7, 63 and 55.

Nice-to-have:
-    Capital Market experience and In-depth knowledge of US equity markets and order types
-    Knowledge of FIX Protocol
-    5+ years EMS/OMS application support experience
