Our Infrastructure Division is responsible for the development and execution of numerous projects including healthcare, light industrial, pharmaceutical, commercial and large transportation projects.

Our Complex Buildings Unit in Calgary is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our growing team.  

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Develop and manage electrical engineering design deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Provide technical oversight and management for the deliverables.
  • Developing, monitoring and maintaining a project schedule for electrical engineering design deliverables.
  • Ensuring that electrical and engineering designs are compliant with code requirements.
  • Coordinating deliverables, submissions and drawings produced by the electrical engineering design staff and following up to ensure revisions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Able to assist in drafting in AutoCAD on an as needed basis – experience in Revit an asset.
  • Assisting in the development of electrical design engineering pursuit and execution budgets.

What will you contribute?

  • Demonstrated experience as an Electrical Engineer on health care, commercial, industrial, or transportation projects.
  • Demonstrated and recognized technical proficiency in electrical engineering, with a specific emphasis on power distribution, lighting, life safety systems and security system design and a working level knowledge of the other engineering disciplines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of codes, standards, construction means and methods related to electrical engineering to ensure designs are optimized for construction practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a team of electrical engineering technologists and drafters.
  • Five years of electrical and communications engineering experience in the consulting sector.
  • Ability to practice as an engineer in Alberta or British Columbia, and certify drawings and other design documents.
  • Ability to work with integrated teams of consultants and contractors.
  • Results oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction.
