Job Description
We are looking for an energetic, fun and committed person to join our activities team.
This is a role that will give you scope to be as creative as you can.
You will be responsible for or assisting in:
- Developing and implementing activities to meet individual client goals in conjunction with the client, their family/whanau and the multidisciplinary team.
- Developing, implementing and evaluating appropriate individual and group programmes, ensuring that these offer residents the opportunities for maintaining and developing cognitive, sensory, physical and social skills.
- Planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group activities.
- Developing individual residents’ activities care plans and evaluations at least six monthly or when needed with input of resident or relatives.
- Implementing a comprehensive therapy program for our residents reflecting their needs.
- Developing and delivering stimulating group and Resident specific activity programmes.
- Organising key events, and outings.
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Strong empathy and patience with elderly residents.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- A reliable, friendly and professional manner.
- Level 4 Careerforce qualification in Diversional Therapy
- Be available to work some weekends
