Am I suited to being an Employment Consultant with APM’s Cabramatta office?

Previous experience is not a must. What we need from you is positivity and drive and a love for helping others succeed.

Perhaps you have experience solving problems in a call centre role, leadership exposure as a store or restaurant manager, negotiation skills in a sales role or a love of motivating others from working as a personal trainer.

This job is all about building relationships and understanding what makes people tick.

A typical week will involve...

You’ll be supporting DES (Disability Employment Services) jobseekers in the Cabramatta area who have an injury, health condition or disability, guiding them to find work.

• Helping DES jobseekers identify their skills and abilities
• Building relationships with employers to identify and create employment opportunities
• Marketing your jobseekers to potential employers
• Increasing jobseekers’ capacity for employment (through training, referral to counselling or other support services, coaching in job search skills)
• Creating a clear pathway to employment for jobseekers through personal Job Plans
