JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Total Rewards is a results-driven leader who effectively partners with key stakeholders to implement a total rewards strategy that enhances the employee experience across Compass Group Canada.  The position will report into a senior leader on the People & Culture team, initially to the Chief People & Culture Officer.

If you were to come on board as one of our Directors of Total Rewards, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

• Drive the strategic direction and supporting programs for Total Rewards. Ensuring the Total Rewards philosophy and mandate supports our cultural and growth requirements.  Point of contact for Executive Compensation and executive compensation plan management.
• Lead and optimizing new HR systems roadmap for Total Rewards. Supports our current model and transition to new system to drive efficiencies to the end user.  Part of a broader team to support the design, testing, and implementation of the Human Capital Management System. 
• Lead the design and administration of merit and year end compensation programs, salary structure, executive compensation, and the job evaluation process. You are a trusted advisor when it comes to compensation analysis and consulting, market pricing, compensation plan/structure design, and job evaluation/grading, and pay equity. Effective implementation skills are required along with the ability to transform details into an employee experience program.
• Be a collaborative partner with HR and the sector departments to align compensation plans to organizational objectives. You have the capabilities to get into the weeds and analyze and complete data modeling to implement competitive and sustainable compensation programs.
• Enhance the employee experience by driving positive change in employee value proposition for total rewards and benefits enhancement.   
• Collaborate with external vendors and providers to ensure exceptional delivery of services.

• 10+ years progressive leadership experience, specifically in the field of Total Rewards and HR technology experience
• Excellent interpersonal and people leadership skills, including strong relationship building and change management capabilities
• Ability to triage issues, consult and seek to understand, generate solutions, make difficult decisions, resolve conflict, and apply sound judgment
• Highly adaptable with a strong change management orientation and collaborative skills to manage and drive specific projects as determined in the HR planning process.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent and professional designation in CCP and/or CEBS is strongly preferred.
