Te Papa's mission is to understand the past, enrich the present and meet the challenges of the future - it is more than just the national museum that houses Aotearoa New Zealand's treasures. In this new executive role you'll weave a rich and diverse set of relationships and partnerships into a single strategy, building focus and opportunities that inspire our partners and grow Te Papa's impact. You'll lead the directorate to identify and deliver opportunities for engaging with Te Papa's strategic partners; grow philanthropic support, sponsorships and commercial partnerships; and secure private and public funding towards Te Papa's endeavours. The directorate also delivers Te Papa's domestic and international touring exhibition programmes, and supports the Friends of Te Papa and the Te Papa Foundation.

We're searching for a person with demonstrated success working at a senior level in partnerships, fundraising or creative co-production. You're known for your ability to influence and negotiate mutually beneficial partnerships, with an approach that enhances the mana of all involved. You can lead a creative, relationship-focused team and create an inspiring working environment.  You're inspired by the role museums play in society and as visitor attractions, and you can inspire others with this passion.  You possess a strong awareness of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi / Treaty of Waitangi and demonstrated ability to embody this commitment in your mahi.
