You will be responsible for owning the strategy and leading our efforts in both adding more “new to Personal Savings & Investments†clients to our platform and further deepening existing client relationships both within the line of business and across RBC. You will work closely with our marketing partners, develop strong networks and partnerships across the organization, and leverage campaign design, targeting and other levers to drive business growth. You will be accountable to establish and execute on a strategic roadmap to further evolve the client experience based on robust portfolio analysis to better our understanding of needs and behaviors of individual client segments; developing experiences that further improve client engagement and retention.
What will you do?
- Identify acquisition opportunities and develop and nurture relationships with existing partners in marketing and distribution to support strategic acquisition and engagement efforts. In addition, collaborate with colleagues in other RBC LOBs (RBC Ventures, RBC Rewards, RBC Dominion Securities, and RBC GAM) as well as teams (Newcomer, Youth & Young Adult, etc.) to support both client acquisition and engagement
- Explore digital acquisition opportunities though an analysis of approaches used in financial and non-financial industries and complete post-campaign analysis to assess the performance of acquisition efforts in terms of quality of clients and revenue growth, as well as attrition
- Design and oversee implementation of new digital experiences and establish a framework to measure client engagement
- Translate client needs and pain points into actionable opportunity areas and develop new target experiences online, in mobile, and with enablement partners. Be an expert in the power of storytelling to communicate insights, knowledge and ideas
- Work closely with the Director of Product Strategy and Manager, Analytics to ensure that the digital product roadmap incorporates client engagement strategic priorities, and to develop an analytical framework to identify segments and cohorts of clients for whom customized strategies will drive improved engagement, anchoring and retention
- Clearly define robust acquisition and retention reporting and analytics needs, and monitor the performance of actions taken to acquire clients, increase engagement, and reduce attrition
- Develop effective client segment plans with strategic and tactical recommendations that take a client-centric approach
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- 5+ years of business strategy, consulting, or client acquisition and engagement leadership experience
- Established track record of testing innovative concepts and/or novel solutions for the purpose of client acquisition and engagement
- Strong business and financial acumen with a demonstrated ability to develop and lead new initiatives (ie. process improvement, policy, marketing, product)
- Proven ability to effectively partner and collaborate while driving results
Nice to have:
- Strong knowledge of RBC businesses, operations, technology and risk management
- Knowledge/experience in the investments/brokerage industry
- Bilingual (French and English)
