As an Enterprise Sales Manager within Digital Cloud Acquisition, you will lead a team of highly talented and skilled Digital Specialists focused on Modern Work solutions.  Your team will drive the day-to-day execution of Microsoft's strategic business priorities – turning leads into opportunities and selling best-in-class cloud services and platforms – building digital transformation momentum for our customers, partners, and Microsoft. This role will manage team members based in Japan and India.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver success through empowerment and accountability.
  • Coach team in modern sales and communications tools & techniques to effectively reach, sell to and manage Microsoft customers using state-of-the-art sales, data, and marketing systems and platforms.
  • Hold team accountable to meet operational standards and rigor to maintain reporting accuracy for key centre metrics.
  • Encourage adoption of program processes, procedures, and tools to provide accurate on-time reporting.
  • Coach your team to collaborate and leverage internal and external stakeholders to develop customer and partner relationships that build, expand and effectively progress opportunities and pipeline through the sales cycle within assigned territory. Facilitate and lead internal communication with the account team and senior-level leadership to get support for your team and eliminate barriers to success. 
  • Effectively lead your team through change, keeping them motivated and focused as customer needs and market conditions evolve in a digitally enabled environment. 
  • Coach your team of sellers to orchestrate across and prospect with an extensive v-team covering multiple solution areas including modernize communications, employee experience, transition to cloud, hybrid meetings, and frontline workers, qualifying and selling solutions that will empower their employees and drive their business and work in a team, enabling and accelerating the customers through digital transformation.

Qualifications

What skills do you need to have? 

 

There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:  

  • Experience selling Modern Work solutions and/or cloud services to large/global enterprise customers
  • Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs.
  • Knowledge of enterprise Modern Work and cloud platform competitor landscape.
  • Experience in building and maintaining Executive level (CXO) stakeholder relationships and leading value proposition conversations aligned to customer priorities and outcomes.       
  • Build relationships, collaborate, and influence across organizations, functions, and stakeholder groups.
  • Operational and sales excellence discipline, including planning, opportunity qualification and creation, stakeholder communication, services/partner engagement and sales excellence practices.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Fluent Japanese lanuguage skills
  • 8+ years sales and negotiation experience OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing (or equivalent) or related field AND 5+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience OR
  • Master's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing (or equivalent) is required AND 4+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience.
    2+ years people management experience.
