Digital Designer, Digital Branding - Wealth Management (PL09)
What is the opportunity?
Digital Branding with RBC Wealth Management Canada is a growing agile team, working towards a common goal: to help advisor teams build their businesses with digital marketing and brand storytelling. As a Digital Designer, you’ll play a key role in developing visual identities for Canada’s leading advisor teams – with a focus on visual storytelling, user experience, and design. The ideal candidate is an artist with technical flair who thrives when presented a blank canvas, is self-driven, and has a passion for designing conceptually adventurous digital experiences that are evocative and human-centered.

What will you do?
Help foster a culture of creativity and collaboration while setting a consistently high bar for design by delivering visually arresting and accessible experiences across web, email, social, and traditional print.
With the help of the Manager, Digital Design, create a range of unique visual identities within an established set of brand standards, as required
Work effectively on an agile team of copywriters, designers, developers and other individuals to ideate and execute on individual marketing/branding strategies across key digital marketing platforms (website, social, etc.)
Interview, present to, and collaborate with clients (advisor teams + branch managers) to inform your designs.
Collaborate with professional photographers to bring the artistic direction to life
Develop creative solutions with minimal direction and guidance, when required
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
4+ years of experience designing within Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
2+ years of experience working in a marketing, branding, or advertising role in a corporate environment or related agency
Solid interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
A passion for design as a storytelling medium demonstrated through a portfolio of marketing campaigns and design projects
Have an insatiable curiousity about your craft that drives you to keep learning and experimenting; informed by exploration of the latest design trends and techniques
General knowledge of AODA compliance in design and digital
Nice-to-have
Experience with video editing (e.g., After Effects and Premiere)
Experience with portrait and/or architectural photography
Experience working in marketing within the financial industry
Excitement to contribute to a creative culture that trades memes, movie references, book and recipe recommendations.
Familiarity with Agile or similar methodologies
Fluent in both English and French (reading, writing, conversation)
