Senior Analyst, Finance - Dell Financial Services

Key Responsibilities:

 

CREDIT

·         Provides analysis and interpretation of the customers' financial condition for proper evaluation of risk and the establishment of proper credit limits.

·         Interacts with sales support, customers, underwriters and other Dell functions to support and maintain said accounts.

·         Prepares formal credit reviews/write-ups and renders credit applications on new and existing accounts.

·         Spreading and analysing customer financial statements and the determination of the appropriate risk grades (PD/LGD) and ensuring that said credit limits, conditions of same, and risk grades are entered and maintained within the appropriate systems.

·         Monitors the existing portfolio and communicates credit concerns to management. Assists with the preparation and presentation of monthly reporting to management.

·         Provides support in terms of any ad hoc testing, reporting or training requirements which may arise.

·         Serves as key liaison with higher-level contacts within other departments, customers and third parties to obtain necessary credit information and documentation

 

SALES ENABLEMENT

1. Resource Optimization:

  • Run the Business activities such as Sales Resource Optimization and Alignment, Coverage models, Managing hiring pipeline
  • Change the Business activities such as identifying where there are opportunities to increase h/c to drive additional volume, and critically assess coverage, identifying target accounts for Sales focus, and providing opportunity heatmaps

2. Supporting Local Sales Initiatives

  • Supporting with central production of relevant collateral (summaries, tracking etc) & communication
  • Develop & maintain contact with relevant experts in the wider virtual team to support this (Compensation & Benefits, HR, Marketing, BI etc.)
  • Develop and maintain competitive market intelligence for Pricing and Sales; link in with Dell and wider DFS competitive intelligence

3. Sales Execution - Create tools, processes and automation that reduces burden on Sales teams

  • Run the Business activities such as monitoring and correct adherence to process including SFDC pipeline management, ensuring revenue is correctly classified and QBR preparation

 

PRICING

  • Maintaining high quality sales support while delivering optimal returns to Dell by engaging in value add activities
  • Recognize and adjust the needs of the business by following market conditions and developing a strong financial services acumen
  • Contribute to the control environment and adhere to control objectives; Complete all compliance testing and pricing discrepancy reviews
  • Contribute to Controls and Compliance requirements

 

 

Qualifications

 

Essential Requirements:

·         3-5 years' experience in a similar role.

·         Strong financial analysis and credit underwritings skills.

·         Proficient English language skills.

·         A sound level of industry knowledge.

·         Proven analytical and problem solving skills.

·         Detail and results orientated.

·         Flexible and capable of working on multiple tasks/projects concurrently.

 

Desirable Requirements:

·         Degree preferably in economics/finance/business or other relevant discipline, and/or equivalent professional qualification.

·         Strong knowledge of leasing products and services.

·         Experienced in fraud risk detection and prevention would be an advantage.

·         Experience of working in a financial services environment. Strong understanding of lending best practice, policies and procedures
