Role Summary

The DevOps Engineer is part of the Service Delivery team, you will support Anuvus’s development teams and core server and cloud infrastructure. We’re looking for someone with a passion for DevOps principles (automation, infrastructure as code, agile software methodology, continuous improvement) but also specialized in Elastic Search and Virtualizations (Kubernetes, AWS, Dockers, etc) with demonstrable experience.

Location: Anywhere in UAE (United Arab Emirates)

Remote Options: fully remote

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Build and Maintaining our huge Cluster in AWS Kubernetes of Elastic Search.
• Our team's focus is automating (with Ansible and Python)
• Ensure that everything is monitored
• Gain understanding of a development team's application stack, provide input and automate entire build and deployment
• Develop key Ansible modules that do not currently exist to fulfill business needs
• Develop supporting systems to connect things together
• Maintain Jenkins build and deploy pipeline
• See areas for improvement and make suggestions (constant iteration!)
• Troubleshoot interesting, difficult problems

What We’re Looking For

• Indispensable High Level knowledge of Elastic Search Administration and configuration, Ideally the candidate should be an Elastic Certified Engineer
• Ansible (or equivalent Automation / Configuration Management)
• Excellent Linux Administration Skills (Ubuntu, Debian, Arch)
• Python
• Scripting (Bash)
• Version control (Git, Github)
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• DNS (Bind)
• Continuous Integration (Jenkins)
• Virtualization (VMWare, Vagrant)
• AWS (or other public cloud providers)
• Monitoring (Icinga2)
• Networking (Understanding of OSI model, key protocols: TCP/IP, UDP,
• BS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent work experience
• Self-motivated worker
