THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for post-silicon activities related to power and performance characterization and optimization of AMD Datacenter products

THE PERSON:
Must be a self-starter, effective communicator and able to independently drive tasks to completion
Â
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute voltage and frequency curve characterization plans for HPC/ML frameworks
Analyzing characterization data for process variation
Determine worst case Process and Temperature corners for voltage and frequency margin
Support prototyping experiments for implementing features that impact GPU power & performance
Characterize critical product KPIs to create product definition and impact next generation designs
Debugging and troubleshooting system-level issues that may occur in test and customer platforms
Proactively driving continuous improvement for post-silicon power and performance activities
Participating in the product definition review and product launch processes

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Strong programming skills: Strong preference for Python
Desirable to be proficient in Linux command line environment and Shell scriptingÂ
Good understanding of computer organization/architecture
Understanding of digital design fundamentals, device physics and power management techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a key attention to detail
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Proficient in using lab equipment like oscilloscopes and power supplies

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
BS or MS degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with emphasis on computer architecture and workload analysis
1+ years’ experience preferred.
