Description

As a Data Scientist in our rapidly growing Artificial Intelligence of Things AI Team, you'll have the opportunity to work on the next generation of Industrial AI infrastructure and applications. You will develop and investigate hypotheses, structure experiments and build mathematical models to understand data patterns, relationships and prescribe actions. We are looking for sharp, disciplined, and highly quantitative individuals passionate about playing with data in all its forms and transforming raw data into actionable and prescriptive insights. You will leverage your skills and passion for Machine Learning, AI and Cognitive Computing to drive Aspen Tech's Artificial Intelligence vision by developing groundbreaking software solutions.

Your Impact Design and develop new data-driven solutions for industrial applications combining data science with domain expertise.

Collaborate with customers, product managers, designers and developers to understand customer needs and translate them into product requirements and specifications.

Investigate new and developing technologies as they appear in industry and academia and determine how to leverage these new technologies into our software applications.

Contribute to Aspen Technologys intellectual property footprint in the space of AI.

What You'll Need MSc or PhD with a strong quantitative focus, such as Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Math or a related field.

2 years of experience in data science projects and software development.

Track record of experience in Python programming, including data science specific packages, such as Pandas, Numpy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn etc.

Experience with machine learning algorithms (regression, deep learning, time series analysis, predictive modelling, data mining, cognitive computing, natural language processing).

Certificates from online educational programs (Coursera, EDX, Udacity, etc) and participation in Kaggle competitions are welcome.

Familiarity with modern data stack and cloud technologies.

Problem-solving ability and attention to details.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
