Job Description

  • Do you love data science and analytics?

Are you passionate about putting the customer first?

Would you thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment, empowered to innovate?

If so, we are looking for top data science and analytics talent to be part of our incredible journey

and as we build a world-class Customer Science team.

Aviva is not just any old insurer. The industry is ripe for disruption and that is just what we are

doing. Over the past 2 years we have been on one of the most visionary digital transformation

journeys of any company, and we continue to transform the way our 31m+ customers engage with

our products and services, by reinventing our ways of working and consistently innovating.

Here in the UK we have crafted a purpose-built office in London’s trendy tech hub, Hoxton Square.

It’s certainly not your stereotype ‘insurance company’ of boring offices and grey suits. This is a

buzzing, start-up environment with top talent from a broad range of industries. We work in agile,

collaborative, cross-functional teams, with a real passion for helping customers defy uncertainty.

    Aviva Quantum

Data, in all its forms, is more readily available than ever before and increasing exponentially.

Today’s consumers demand ever-more personalised products and services. Tools and computing

Data science is a strategic imperative for us, with sponsorship and buy-in from the CEO down. We

have invested heavily into Aviva Quantum - our global data science practice that brings together 700

data scientists from across the globe to understand customers and deliver the very best experiences.

Using cutting-edge data science techniques, on one of the richest insurance datasets in the world,

Quantum data scientists innovate to tackle Aviva’s toughest problems. We’ve even created a

specific Quantum job family to recognise, support and reward our data scientist community.

    Customer Science Team

Within Aviva Quantum sits a very special Customer Science Team. We believe that

everything is better when we put the customer first; data science helps us do that at massive scale.

and tools that support Aviva’s strategic priorities and help customers defy uncertainty.

We have been assembling some of the best talent to drive world-class customer data

science into action. We are not a typical, back-room data science team, we

combine data science expertise with a consultancy-like approach and execution. We are

passionately customer-first, and partner to drive strategic change and impact through our work.

We have been recognised as the Best Place to Work in Data in 2019 and 2020 by DataIQ.

We’d love it if you could submit your application online. If you require an alternative method of applying, please give Lacey Lane Mckoy a call on 0207 255 0884 or send an email to lacey.lane-mckoy@aviva.com

*As defined in The Equality Act 2010*. By ‘minimum criteria’ we mean you should provide us with evidence which demonstrates that you generally meet the level of competence required and have the qualifications, skills or experience defined as essential to perform the role.
