What is the opportunity?
RBC Portfolio Management & Credit Strategy (PMCS) is hiring a Manager, Small Business. You will be responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Small Business credit strategy. This includes improving the portfolio profitability by recommending solutions that balance risk, reward, operational efficiency and customer impact. Also, you will support the business targets for growth, while ensuring appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place and the overall quality of the portfolio is maintained. Additionally, you will utilize advance data science, continuous testing and Small Business industry expertise to enhance the level of risk management.
What will you do?
Create acquisitions strategy design across multiple Small Business product platforms e.g. adjudication and exposure management, ensuring adequacy of risk and return etc. through comprehensive data analysis and predictive financial and credit modeling
Conduct performance monitoring and reporting for relevant customer segments, enabling actionable insight for key stakeholders, including Group Risk Management
Lead end-to-end stakeholders meetings with senior management in Group Risk Management, Products and Collection
Recommend opportunities and drive initiatives that will enhance portfolio performance or improve existing processes
Support new strategy development with advanced analytics
Conduct cross-functional stakeholder management of Operations and GRM teams
Monitor any changes in portfolio Risk to pre-empt stress to Collection
Maintain key relationships with Senior leaders within Risk Management, Small business and other key stakeholders
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Knowledge of data querying tools such as SAS, SQL, Python, etc. Strong familiarity with SAS preferred
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated track record of thought leadership
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling business case to senior management
Undergraduate degree in Economics, Business, Statistics or other quantitative field of study
Nice-to-have
2-5 years of experience performing advanced analytics, ideally for credit lending products
