The RoleAs Data Science Advisor in our rapidly growing Artificial Intelligence of Things AI Team, you will help define AspenTechs AI strategy, review the technology landscape around AI Edge deployment, chemical, refining, pharmaceutical process and predictive analytics applications, identify existing technology gaps within our portfolio, develop mitigation strategies and drive cross-functional influence and impact. We are looking for sharp, disciplined, and highly quantitative individuals who have a passion for playing with data, in all its forms, including data mining, mathematical modeling, cognitive computing and expert systems. You will leverage your skills and passion for Machine Learning, AI and Cognitive Computing to help drive AspenTechs Artificial Intelligence strategy and develop groundbreaking software solutions.

Your Impact Assist in recruiting and mentoring data scientists, engineers and software developers to develop new machine learning and cognitive computing applications for the chemical, refining, pharmaceutical and predictive analytics industries.

Lead the development of technology strategies in collaboration with customers, product managers and technical staff to promote continuous innovation throughout our portfolio.

Investigate new and developing technologies as they appear in industry and academia and determine how to leverage these new technologies into our software applications

Provide thought leadership and represent AspenTech at industry and academic meetings and conferences

What You'll Need PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math or a related major

12 years of experience in data science and software development/programming

Familiarity with chemical engineering or related fields

Experience with big data and cloud technologies

Experience with C , C#, Python

Experience with machine learning algorithms (regression, deep learning, reinforcement learning, time series analysis, predictive modeling, data mining, cognitive computing, natural language processing)

Experience delivering AI/machine learning applications to end-users

Problem-solving ability and attention to details

Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
