We are growing our Data & Analytics team in FSO and now is an exciting time to join us on this journey. We are looking for Specialists in Data Governance and Data Management with financial services experience, who are passionate about effective data management, to join our diverse team. Whether you are a Consultant at the start of your career through to Manager looking for your next opportunity, if you want to help clients drive better quality insights, achieve operational efficiency, reduce costs due to poor data quality and comply with regulatory requirements, we would love to hear from you.
Your typical day may involve:
- Assist our clients in developing Data Governance Frameworks, implementation roadmaps, business cases for funding Data Governance programs, and in setting up enterprise data offices with data management responsibilities.
- Support the development of policies, standards and procedures to attain optimal data quality.
- Assist in developing roles and responsibilities to work as a part of the enterprise data office under the data governance framework, and in creating training materials to train data stewards, custodians, and owners.
- Understand our clients’ data strategy, technology landscape and data usage to build and suggest improvements to data risk and data quality frameworks.
- Embed data management concepts into major transformation programs to ensure high quality data, operational efficiency, and privacy & regulatory compliance.
- Define and build data ownership models to ensure appropriate accountability.
- Assist our clients in conducting capability, maturity and benchmarking assessments for data management practices.
- Provide thought leadership on how our clients can better manage data on on-premises and cloud environments.
- Design and implement data remediation programs to identify, document and uplift metadata, data lineage, data quality controls, reference data and master data.
- Build strong working relationships with client stakeholders.
- Support other team members through peer reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and technical training.
- Lead and support the development of proposals and statements of work and participate in business development initiatives.
What skills are we looking for:
- Experience defining data governance, data management and data quality frameworks and setting up enterprise data offices for financial services organisations.
- Knowledge of industry standard frameworks such as DCAM, DAMA or CMMi DMM and in CPG235, BCBS239 and data privacy and protection legislations including The Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), GDPR and CPS234.
- Knowledge of data quality management, including master data and reference data management, data risk management and cloud data management.
- Experience with data governance and data management toolsets, such as Informatica, Talend, SAP Information Steward, IBM Infosphere, Collibra, SAS Data Management, etc., and with technologies such as knowledge graphs.
