This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, 360° Client View on the client communication personalization team.
As a Senior Data Engineering Analyst for the 360° client view you will:
- Apply stringent manipulation/transformation (ETL), programming, and data visualization methods to large databases to help solve business problems
- Interact with other data engineering specialists and many internal partners
- Be familiar with the business reality, understand data, and communicate/show how the data can help us best meet our business objectives
Specifically, you will:
- Understand business sector strategies, issues, and operational realities so you can support IT teams in developing innovative and efficient solutions
- Act as a data engineering expert to influence business lines and organize and present data related the 360° client view
- Design, automate, and implement real-time data mining and data consumption solutions that meet business needs, in accordance with the Bank’s best practices
- Be an agent for change and ensure co-development (identify needs and suggest training activities) as part of the sector’s development in data analysis
- Monitor best practices and tools available in the data analysis and integration field
- Contribute to the efforts to improve data quality, governance, availability, and accessibility
- Ensure that new solutions are operational (change management, process upgrades, operations transfers)
- Define data and business-specific requirements (e.g., definitions, lists of values, security & service levels, quality)
- Analyze and profile the data available in the DataHub curated zone
- Develop business rules so that data can be more easily consumed in the consumption zone
- Collect business needs and work closely with data owners in different VCs
- Support stakeholders in the data management cycle (e.g., developers, data scientists, consumers)
Ideal profile:
- Completed bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR completed master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience
- Solid experience in data analytics, manipulation, and visualization
- Experience in analyzing/creating reports and dashboards used in decision-making
- Advanced proficiency in at least one data analysis tool
- Knowledge of Python, SAS, and Power SQL
- Knowledge of Databricks and Snowflake
- Sound knowledge of Power BI or another dashboard tool
- Proactive and diligent
- Strong collaborative spirit
- Good time and priority management skills
- Knowledge of the Agile approach (Scrum), an asset
- Good communication skills and able to influence
- Functionally bilingual, spoken and written (English and French)
