Data Academy is a Bank initiative that aims to provide a learning platform to all Bank employees and promote the sharing of data knowledge. As advisor, you will report directly to the Academy Manager and work closely with the other members of the team.  

You will be a catalyst for data learning and work with the team to produce and suggest content for all Bank employees, regardless of their level, to help them develop their data knowledge. This content can originate outside the organization, but it must also include content produced with the team to ensure the specific needs of the organization are met. 

In addition, you will create a forum for employees in any team to present and discuss their use of data in order to learn, share and collaborate. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining an advice and assistance platform where employees can ask questions and receive support on a multitude of data-related issues. You must be able to help employees using this service.

You must be involved in discussions and put forward your ideas to ensure the Academy’s development and its position within the organization’s data strategy. You will serve as a spokesperson and ambassador for the Academy by clearly communicating its role in employee development, knowledge sharing and best practices. You will share the Bank employees’ needs you identify with the Academy’s team members. You will also ensure the growth and leadership of a network of ambassadors whose role is to expand the Academy’s reach in their respective sectors.

You will actively seek out presenters for our Brunch and Learn (B&L) presentations and prepare presentations. 

Your main tasks will focus on: 

• Producing data learning content in line with audience segmentation
• Actively participating in the Academy’s strategic decisions, communications and visibility
• Maintaining B&L presentations and other current Academy activities
• Setting up a support platform (Data Clinic)
• Promoting inter-sector collaboration 
• Assessing the Academy’s impact (KPIs)

More specifically, you will: 

• Produce and improve data-related learning paths
• Continually search for new topics and presenters for B&L presentations while ensuring specific audience targeting, variety and high-quality presentations
• Help set up a data clinic that will be used to obtain answers to questions and provide consultation services for employees with data-related issues or challenges
• Help keep the Data Clinic running smoothly
• Help grow and lead a network of ambassadors from several Bank sectors
• Be a spokesperson for the Academy with various teams across the Bank 
• Be involved in discussions on all the Academy’s communication and development strategies with the team
• Ensure the Academy’s content is in line the Bank’s actual needs
• Promote all initiatives related to relevant data via the Academy’s network to foster collaboration
• Find ways to assess the Academy’s impact with respect to several key aspects: employees’ level of data knowledge, use of the Academy’s content, etc. 
• Promote the Data Office vision and best practices 
• Monitor the Data Academy’s equivalents externally

Profile:

• Bilingualism in English and French (spoken/written), mandatory
