At the Open Polytechnic we offer a wide range of learning disciplines from Real Estate to Social Work, Construction and Education. From our Academic Staff Members to our Student Journey Centre, we ensure our students are at the heart of everything we do, every step of the way.

About the role:

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to add value to our Student Journey Centre. This is a permanent role. The hours are from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

In our Student Journey Centre, the Customer Service Representatives play a vital first-point of contact for students and enquirers, and we are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our motivated team.

The ideal candidate will have proven customer services or call centre skills and experience. Alternatively, you might be a recent graduate looking to take your next step in a high-performing organisation. Full training is provided.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong computer literacy skills, able to answer queries using a variety of channels including email, web chat and social media.
  • Effective listening skills, a great telephone manner and the ability to empathise with enquirers from a wide variety of backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

About you:

You will have a passion for impacting the lives of others and seeing them achieve their educational goals and dreams. You will also constantly be striving to be the best you can be, just as our students do, and you'll pride yourself on the quality of your work.

You will have:

  • The ability to prioritise workload to make sure all enquiries are answered within expected timeframes.
  • Attention to accuracy and be able to quickly assimilate information and provide enquirers with correct information at all times.
